What are Clinical Trials?

Rheumatology Associates an 8 physician rheumatology practice has developed a center to give our patients access to the most recent therapies for the treatment of rheumatic diseases through participation in clinical trials.

We have participated in the evaluation of new agents for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Lupus and
osteoporosis.

We remain committed to the evaluation of investigational treatments for all of the rheumatic diseases. Our research center is located in our Smithtown facility.

In addition to the physicians, our staff consists of a Clinical Research Coordinator as well as Registered Nurses.
The center is overseen by Quality Assurance and Regulatory officers.

Mary Elizabeth Jones is the Clinical Research Coordinator, her office is located in the Infusion center in the Smithtown office.
She would be happy to answer any questions, as well as inform you of the latest clinical trials that are going on currently.
